SURRENDER40 MINISTRIES HAS BEEN AWARDED THE 2013 "SHAPE GRANT" FROM BARBARA GOLEMAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

IMAGINE WITH US.....if you will, in modern day 2013, where in almost every public school in our great nation, the enemy has done his best to "REMOVE" God from ALL hallways and classrooms. Evidenced by tragic events like Columbine, Virginia Tech, and the latest tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, it is clear that the enemy has done a marvelous job at planting evil in our schools. But for those of you believers that "DON'T" know the true end of "OUR" story, let us remind you....and the enemy, that "GOD WINS" and good triumphs over evil! 

NOW IMAGINE THIS.....a non Christian, "PUBLIC" school located in Miami Lakes, Florida has just sent satan and his stooges packing throughout the hallowed walls of Barbara Goleman Senior High School, by awarding a precious and much appreciated (and always needed) $500 Shape Grant to Surrender40 Ministries in our ongoing Mission to "FEED THE NEED" here in our lost city. 

So understand what is happening here, not only are we able to plan and carry out an event once the grant award is received, that is not the ONLY miracle. The true miracle here are the students. God has triumphed in this school as represented by the fact that the student organization "Shape", whose motto is "Students Changing The World", are made up of believers in a normally hostile secular environment. Hostility from the students, NO, hostility from the teachers, PROBABLY NOT! The hostility, once again comes from organizations like the ACLU and many atheist groups that believe when you speak of God in a school or courtroom, you are violating peoples Constitutional rights, the very same rights that were written by Men of God-HELLO! Ridiculous! 

In our gratitude, Surrender40 Ministries would like to thank Barbara Goleman Senior High School, all the members of Shape, and in particular, Xilebel Patricia Navarro, one of our young adult leaders for standing tall ,"LIVING LIKE JESUS" and LIGHTING UP the hallways and classrooms in ONE of the darkest places in America, Miami, Florida. We are eternally and deeply grateful to you all. 

In addition, the entire staff of Surrender40 Ministries would like to once again congratulate Xilebel for her "BLESSED AND ANOINTED" acceptance into Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. beginning this fall. We are SO PROUD of you, and we know that you make Jesus smile. You ARE a role model for ALL young adults, everywhere!

"Anointed, Transformed and Redeemed" Part II---Robin's Story Continues

"I was in prison, and you visited me" -Matthew 25:37

So how did you spend your Saturday? A little picnic, some shopping, maybe a nap or cleaning the garage? Whatever it was we hope you had an awesome time, and please know that we here at Surrender40 Ministries love you and pray for you always. Today we focused on the prison ministry side of our house. It was so fulfilling for us as a ministry as we had the honor and privilege of spending the day with an AWESOME woman of God and one of the board members of Surrender40 Ministries, Robin Lynn Brewer. For those of you that have supported and encouraged us and have kept up with this ministry since 2009, we have been visiting Robin at Homestead Correctional Facility for over 4 years now. Robin has been incarcerated since 1994, and last year, with your help and support, we sponsored the filing of her Executive Clemency paperwork, which began the long and patient process of......WAITING & PRAYING. We believe with ALL of our hearts that Robin will be free very soon and we rejoice in our faith as she rejoices in hers. For those that also may not know, Robin is currently going through one of Beth Moore's Bible Studies called "Living Beyond", which teaches all about the fruits of the spirit. If you met Robin, and talked with her about her faith and her journey for even 5 minutes, you would not only see EVERY fruit of the spirit but you would feel an anointing coming from her that you would carry with you for DAYS!!! Talk about a LIGHT....in a very dark place, that is Robin Lynn Brewer. Totally Anointed, Transformed and Redeemed! When Robin is released, she will be active as a full time member of Surrender40 Ministries, as well as continuing to be a HUGE part of Pink Love Ministries, our sister ministry that sends letters and devotionals to woman in prison. Please continue to keep Robin in your prayers and come into agreement with us that 2013 is the year that she comes HOME! 

The one thing that we are convinced of is that the Bible Studies that we send in for her to do and grow from have been so valuable in the continual growth and deep rooted knowledge of The Bible, thereby enabling Robin and other inmates to preach The Gospel with knowledge and power! We would love to see more people blessed in this way, therefore; WE....are asking you and all our friends and family to donate to our ministry to allow us to purchase a number of Bible Studies to send in to prisons. We are starting with a need of $500 to ensure that we can continue to bless and encourage others by learning and doing God's Word. Please know that Surrender40 Ministries is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and that ALL of your donations and gifts are tax deductible by law. Please know that EVERY dollar helps and that ONE person who is touched by this can meet the need with just a click, or many can come together to bless many others. Please give generously as God LOVES a cheerful giver and know that God will bless you in abundance and bless your family as well. Over the past 4 years, the ministry team of Surrender40 Ministries has been richly blessed by so many of you showing your love and support by giving so much. Some people gave generously from their abundance, some people gave generously from their lack, BUT.....all of you gave from your heart for God and your love for HIS lost and hungry people. Your generosity and loving support has enabled us to accomplish the following acts of LOVE in the name of Jesus;

TOGETHER....WE have served 7,087 meals
TOGETHER....WE have handed out 2,091 Bibles
TOGETHER....WE have given out 2.942 pairs of socks
TOGETHER....WE have given out 900 Daily Bread Devotionals
AND TOGETHER....WE have handed out hundreds of clothing items, blankets, hygiene items and gospel tracts telling people the truth about God's saving grace, especially HIS mercy and love!

For all this and so much more, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we want to tell you once again, that "God LOVES a cheerful giver" Now, family, friends and supporters, it is time for a new season, it is time to grow and serve even more people, more cities and more communities. God is calling us to grow, and whatever HE ordains, HE provides for. God has always provided the needs of HIS people through your love and support and the continued vision of our servant Board of Directors. So grow we will, and we are asking for the help of our Blogger, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter families to get the word out to help us in this NEED to grow.

We are asking God in prayer to provide the ministry with a vehicle. Someone, some family, some business or businessman or woman right now is wondering what to do with an extra vehicle and maybe thinking about trading in in for pennies on the dollar. Donating a vehicle to Surrender40 Ministries would be a tax exempt donation, as we are a 501(c)(3) organization and the entire value of the car can be claimed as a tax write-off! In addition, donating a vehicle would potentially bless thousands of people in other communities as we expand and grow. Pastor Steve & Trachena have always "stood in the gap", and covered as much of whatever extra was needed as possible, yet this vision is SO MUCH BIGGER then the two of them. It is about all of you, those who have seen the videos and pictures, and have read the testimonies of the homeless, the prisoner and the sick! Please pray about this, ask your friends and family and spread the word about the ministries vision and needs. Someone out there is ready to do this, help us find them. Surrender40 Ministries presents "YOU ARE MORE" with music by Tenth Avenue North

Surrender40 Ministries is pleased and honored to present this music video with scenes from our "March Gladness" Mission to "FEED THE NEED". We are deeply inspired by lead singer Mike Donehey and the rest of Tenth Avenue North, as they explain the truth of The Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's simplest form, "YOU'VE BEEN REMADE". Over 200 people were fed, clothed and very blessed today as the ministry team shared the Gospel with many on the streets of Miami. Thank you to everyone that prayed for us and supported us financially, we are so blessed by all of you!
